Consuldents has aimed to continuously highlight final year project ideas (FYP) and to ensure that we create a grass root innovation repository. Today, we are presenting another innovative and novel idea presented by these electronics geeks Muhammad Ishfaq Haider, Hafiz Samar Mubarak, and Muhammad Hassan Tahir under the supervision of Dr. Rehan Tahir.
Final Year Project Idea Background:
When it is the discussion of hospital, it immediately comes the reflection of those choking scenes of hospital such as the horns of ambulances, fetid environment of hospital and above all the cries of helpless patients roaming and lying in the wards of hospital. In Pakistan, it is very rare to see the proper health facilities and mechanism – which ranges from doctors to nurses to paramedical staff- in most of the hospitals and in all that scenario assume , how a patient will feel when he hasn’t a caretaker with him to feed him the syrup or food?
Seeing all this, these young scholars take it to their brains this problem and came with this inventive idea of “Automated Nursing Bed” which does the works which a nurse or a caretaker does. Muhammad Ishfaq Haider, Hafiz Samar Mubarak, and Muhammad Hassan Tahir summarize their idea in these words:
“A hospital bed for disabled, Ulcer and Parkinson’s patients for the physical movements and aid of their body parts which is not only significant medically but also reduces the efforts of the caretaker. It would be convertible to electric wheelchair as well. In addition to basic movements like lifting the head and legs up or down, and tilt the body right or left, it provides convenient sanitary features.”
When asked what was the special in their idea and how distinct it was, they all excitedly replied that there was much special in this idea, as according to these guys, there is no local industry for the manufacturing and production of such technology and their idea provides an ample space for the development o such devices in the commercial market as well as the boosts and promotes the local industry. Best feature of this product is also that, that it not only includes basic features present in imported beds but also contains additional functions like Mobile Controlled automation.
This Final Year Project idea is in its making process and the inventors estimate the cost of it as Rs. 250,000 and are optimistic that “If this project is properly funded and supported, it can do wonders.”
