Are you a photography enthusiast who every time loves the clicks of the capturing or is in blindly love with the camera lenses then one marvelous and stunning opportunity is waiting for you!! The opportunity is nothing but the iconic Dawn-DW video story contest.

Pakistan is full of the majestic colors, places, and rituals and every part of it has its own distinct and diverse culture. From the hilly green mountains and valleys in northern areas to the fertile and green lands in Punjab and Sindh, deserts of Thar and Cholistan and the coastal areas of Baluchistan and Karachi, every region has discrete aroma. For this very cause, Dawn has pitched this idea with DW to portray the diversity of Pakistan and celebrate the stories of unsung heroes of Pakistan.

This year’s entries are open now and can be submitted in the period of July 5 and August 17, 2019. The submissions should be about a real story in Pakistan and the winners of the contest will get the following prizes:

• First Prize: Rs. 500000          
• Second Prize: Rs. 300000                 
• Third Prize: Rs. 500000
• 330,000 of each and chance of work with DW documentary.
• Two prizes of 1,00000 each. 
• Two prizes of 55000 each as social media prizes.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Individuals of all ages, gender and nationalities can participate in this competition.
• Individuals can participate as teams; however, each participant can be a part of only one team.
• The persons associated with Dawn and DW their immediate family members are restricted from apply.
• The entries should be original and CANNOT be a work of fiction.
• The footage/photos should be captured from Pakistan only.

The jury shortlists only the best entries of all and is comprised of the very credible names of Media, filmmaking and cinematography such as Jami, Babar Shaikh, Jehanzeb Haq, Kishwar Mustafa and Steffen Robine.
