Are you a female student studying in an undergraduate or a graduate program at a Pakistani university? Then we are happy to announce that the British Council Pakistan is currently offering a scholarship for Pakistani female students.

The British Council is a premier organization of U.K. working in Pakistan in the domains of education, arts, civic engagement, society and inclusive development. It provides a variety of the opportunities for Pakistani students who want to pursue their higher studies in abroad. Besides that, it also confers various grants to students, institutes and organizations in Pakistan nationally and prepares Pakistani students for IELTS and A Level exam.

Currently, the applications are open for Scotland Pakistan scholarships for Young Women and Girls, which, previously, was only for female candidates in master level programs but this year they have included the undergraduate programmes too, with an aim to make education accessible to young Pakistani female students at undergrad level.

These scholarships- for master and bachelor levels- are funded by Scotland government and cover the following benefits for the awardees:

• Tuition fees
• University hostel fees
• Travel to and from home to university (two times a year)

These scholarships cover the expenses of four years (for undergraduate level) and two years 9for graduate level) and are available for female Pakistani students who are pursuing their careers in the subject areas of Education, Sustainable Energy, Food Security& Agriculture and health Sciences. It also includes STEM subjects at master level.

To consider herself for the award of the scholarship, the applicant will need to fulfil all the needs of complete application which include:

• A duly filled out application form
• Scanned copy of CNIC
• Scanned copy of transcripts
• Proof of admission and/or enrolment at bachelor’s level
• Tuition fee form

The applications can be submitted online as well as through courier services. The Last Date to submit the application is 30^th August, 2019.
