If I could go back and change one thing my freshmen year of high school, I would worry less. I was always caught up in getting the best grades and wouldn’t give myself any room for mistakes. My thoughts were always on what other people thought of me and the things that I should have been doing differently. I would try to fit in with the people that I thought were the most popular. I later realized that they were not popular, just well known. In the end, I didn’t get to enjoy the year, because before I knew it, it was over. Instead of constantly stressing out about what could be going wrong, I would live in the moment and be myself because I found that when I do that, genuine people gravitate towards me. I have developed good study methods but have come to realize that one bad grade on a test is not going to destroy my future. My advice is to new freshmen is to just be yourself, be nice to everyone you meet, and don’t overthink every little moment. There are times when it’s okay to be stressed out, but it should not be over the small things.

My pearls of wisdom that most resonate with me is it never too late to continue studying, I think that because sometimes we are afraid about to try new things. In my opinion, we need never forget the first reason or thought we had to continue school. My advice for new students is that college is an easy way to make contacts and new friends. Do not be afraid to try new things. Trying new things is important to improve your knowledge, because you can retained the information and expand your ability to learn. Be yourself and be responsible. Do not let other get you down. I think the new students have to try to be focused on work and school more. Besides friends, it is important to have to focus on your schoolwork and them work on your social life. College is going to be a very important part of your life. I recommended selecting the institution that offers you the best education.

If there was anything I wish I had done differently when I was in high school, I would like to change the way I used to think about going to college. I was so afraid about meet new classmates and professors. I forgot that I was in my last year of High school, I didn’t realize that I would never be with my friends any more that maybe was the last time that I am going to see them. However, the things that I would like to change are share more time with my friends, go to party, have fun, enjoy those days like the last days of my life. That is why I want you to know that everything in life is a bomb, and you are not going to return to those days anymore. You have to enjoy every single second of your life no matter how is going to be; every consequence of your life is a part of your memory. That kind of things makes your life more powerful. So do not forget to enjoy your last year of high school. A new stage is about to begin and you will have the best memories of your adolescence.

For me, the pearls of wisdom that resonate the most with me is that knowledge is power so we have to believe in ourselves. Never settle for the little education you have, look high, and think wide. Fix yourself in what you really want because you will always have something, which can make you depress but do not be fooled. If you have a vision, you have to be strong and never forget where you are, where you are going, and what you want to do. I asked for advice and they told me do not be afraid to start because only you can update your life. However, if you do not makes mistakes you will never grow, you will never learn. Study only because knowledge is the only thing they cannot take from you, because you want to know more, enhances you and because this makes, you grow. We have to go further. I also learned that I had to discover my needs and get rid of what was not going to feed my vision. Always challenge yourself! We must be motivated and determined. I think that be around positive mind makes you feel more confident. Have someone who can guide you before you start can make you feel better and can help you make better decisions.

Education should be our first goal in life. My advice to the young and new students is that do your best because the time run fast. My mother always told me that college is tough and I have to try my best, when I get in, to turn my world into my career and that must be my first priority. She was the best one in her generation so I understand why she says that to me. I totally agree with her even though I was a child. I saw her studying and being responsible so she knows what she is talking about. When I get into college, I will try to follow her advice as much as I can. I know that high school may seem scary, but in reality, it actually isn’t. So, always be confident in life. Because nothing is possible, everything is possible in life. Learn as much as possible and try a lot of new stuff. Right now is always right time. Always keep the imagination of a child and wisdom of an adult!
