To all the sunsets at NUST

The relief of going back to my safe haven is how usually my days at NUST end. The time your body just automatically shuts itself off. No forced conversations, no conscious remarks, not surrounded by people and most importantly a liberty to just sit in silence for some while, with or without your friends around. It’s almost 05:00 P.M. and everyone’s drained of energy. During this ride back home, I have had quite a few multifarious experiences. One of them being the sunsets amid the 05:00 P.M. hustle at the parking lots in NUST.
Knowing that the Sun is going to set as soon as it rises makes it a subliminal experience but consciously witnessing a beautiful sunset might just be a spectacular and ethereal moment in one’s life. In awe, you see how the blue sky is actually a façade. It is compelled to brush a few orange and pink strokes here and there as the sun is setting, as if the Sun demands attention while it’s setting. If you’ve come this far you might be thinking I grew up loving sunsets maybe but I didn’t. It truly is the time waiting for my van at the parking lot, or sitting inside the van while we’re leaving the university’s premises that I am forced to take pictures of and complement the dazzling sky over our heads.
Therefore, as dramatic as it sounds (and obviously copied) to all the sunsets at NUST, my time at The Wall, C1, C2 and obviously the parking lot would’ve been so unaesthetic if you didn’t show up in time.
You make the silence pleasing.
Loving this Habiba!!👏👏
