However, if you are looking for everyday freelancing work (SEO, content writing, blog writing, logo design), then unfortunately this platform may not work for you.

What makes Consuldents different from everyday freelancers are that they are technically sound, full of energy and are willing to collaborate on wide array of fields such as engineering, business, public policy, arts and architecture, language etc. to create something unique and disruptive and to further enhance the collaborative space between academia and industry.

How can I get started?

Sign up at Consuldents and complete your profile. List your educational and professional credentials (especially important, if you are a graduate or a doctoral candidate), career interests, projects you have completed and achievements you have had that resonates with your technical expertise. Remember, the best profiles are generally the ones which are complete, error-free and provide details that best resonate with your professional outlook.

After successfully signing up, you’ll want to check your registration email for the activation link provided in a welcome email from Consuldents. For older sign ups, the link may not work. You may request a new link while you’re logged in to your account, even if it's not activated yet, or ask Consuldents Help center for assistance.

How about my profile at Consuldents?

Your profile allows you to introduce yourself to the Consuldents community. If you are a student, we encourage you to complete your profile with as much detail as possible as this will allow organizations to view your credentials in detail. Consider your Consuldents profile as your professional resume which highlights your background, education and work credentials as well as interests, professional summary, research interests, publications and projects. You don’t have to complete your student profile in a single attempt and you can save changes for later. However, by providing everything in detail, you will ensure that organizations know what your background is and what your aspirations are.

How can I work at Consuldents?

Once you sign up at Consuldents, you can see all project listings - from engineering to creative arts etc. Start applying to projects that matches your relevant educational and professional experience. For each assignment you apply, send a compelling resume and a cover letter making sure they are:

• Professionally written and error-free
• Customized for the assignment you are applying
• And provides a fair representation of your skills and qualification

How is the work structured?

Just like any other consulting assignments, all work at Consuldents is milestone based. When you apply to a project, carefully look for Terms of Reference (TORs) of the project which clearly outlines schedule of the assignment and expected percentage assigned to each milestone.

When you finish a milestone and submits it online, it goes to your project team leader for approval. Once your project team leader approves your deliverable, you will receive payment assigned to that deliverable through our secure payment environment.

How will I get paid?
